What data we process about you, why we do it, how long we keep it and what your rights are. In plain language.

This is a translation of the Dutch text. In case of any difference, the Dutch version prevails.

01Who we are

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not build profiles of you. We never sell your data.

04Are you under 16?

Ambiva is also meant for young entrepreneurs. If you are under 16, you need permission from a parent or guardian to sign up for the waitlist. If we find out that we hold data from someone under 16 without that permission, we delete it.

05How long we keep it

  • Waitlist: until you unsubscribe, and no later than 12 months after the launch of the app.
  • Contact: until your question has been handled, and after that for no more than 12 months in case you come back to it later.
  • Technical data: as briefly as possible, only as long as needed for the security and functioning of the site.
  • Cookie choice: stays in your own browser until you clear it.
  • Visit statistics: up to 14 months in Google Analytics.

If the law requires us to keep data for longer, for example for the Dutch Tax Administration, we only do so for that data.

06Who we share it with

We only share your data with parties we need to make Ambiva work, such as a hosting provider and a service for sending emails. They may only use your data on our behalf, and we sign a data processing agreement with them.

The photos on the website are loaded from Unsplash. Your browser connects to their servers and they see your IP address. The fonts are hosted on our own site, so no connection to another party is made for them.

If you consent to statistics, we use Google Analytics from Google. Advertising features and Google signals are off, and we do not share the data for advertising. Google also processes data in the United States, with safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

If data ends up outside the European Economic Area, we make sure the safeguards required by the GDPR are in place, such as the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

If the police or another government authority requests data on a legal basis, we sometimes have to cooperate.

07Your rights

It is your data. That is why you have these rights:

  • Access: you may know what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: if something is wrong, we correct it.
  • Erasure: you can ask us to delete your data. You can do that via Delete your data.
  • Restriction: you can ask us to temporarily stop using your data.
  • Portability: you can receive your data in a common file format.
  • Objection: you can object to use based on our legitimate interest.
  • Withdrawing consent: always possible, for example by unsubscribing from the waitlist.

Send your request to info@ambiva.nl. We respond within one month. Sometimes we ask you to show that the data is yours, so that we do not give it to the wrong person.

08A complaint

Not happy with how we handle your data? Let us know first, and we will look for a solution together. You also always have the right to file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch Data Protection Authority).

09Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and misuse. The website uses a secure connection (https), only those who need it can access the data, and we use strong passwords and two-factor authentication where possible.

10The app

The app is still in development. When the app comes out, we will update this privacy policy with what the app processes, for example your progress. You will read about it here before you start using the app.

11Changes

We update this privacy policy when something changes. The date of the latest version is always at the top. If there is a major change, we will let you know if you are on the waitlist.
